RELATIONSHIP WITH HEALTHY APPETITE: THE STEVEN SANDWICH

DRUM ROLL…….we present THE STEVEN SANDWICH
Invented by a health club member, who had been to Subway, but wanted to tailor make a healthy sandwich of his own, to lose weight.

2 Slices toasted whole wheat bread
1 grated cheddar cheese
optional: grated parmesan
1 grilled boneless chicken breast
1 pinch of fresh minced spinach
1/2 cup shredded cheddar
1 spoonful of diced broccoli
1 spoonful diced squash
1 spoonful of diced carrots
1 spoonful of diced jalapeño
1 spoonful of diced mushroom
1 spoonful of diced bell pepper
1 spoonful of minced black beans
sliced dilll pickles
sliced red onion
  1. TOAST the buttered bread on the GRILL or frying pan
  2. Heat grilled chicken breast briefly on pan or in micro (do not nuke too long, it makes it tough)
  3. MELT CHEESE and all veggies EXCEPT lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle
  4. PUT MELTED CHEESE and VEGGIES on top of the chicken breast
  5. Then put LETTUCE, PICKLE, ONION and TOMATO on top of all the other ingredients
TAKE SANDWICH and put entire sandwich in microwave to melt cheese (industrial microwave 40)
